This movie is starting to look interesting. I do, however, find it very odd that an Italian production company used British actors to make a movie based upon an Italian comic. I’m hoping it does well in the Italian box office and is picked up for global distribution.

Italian audiences are more used to watching dubs and would likely be willing to do it for a known Italian comic book while native English speakers are a larger audience unfamiliar with the comic and not used to dubbing, so would be less likely to go see it with an Italian cast.

Pre-hs, Bash was a consistently working actor with lots of small parts in low budget movies. This Dampry movie is very in line with his previous work. It looks like a mildly entertaining horror film, perfect for an October release, that nobody will care about or remember. Thanks to HS popularity, Bash wants to move up to higher quality projects. Lots of promotion for a movie that is only coming out in Italy won’t help him get new jobs.

But of course HS fans share every image of Bash available, and are doing a great job of promoting this movie regardless of Bash’s silence. The Dampry producers have probably noticed, which is why they are now putting him on posters despite him not being the main character.

Bash and ty were so good in doom patrol. I’m really hoping that they’ll at least feature them in the show again since they’re not in their own series

These threads keep getting paywalled or deleted and we start new ones, but I feel like having three separate threads, one for Joe, one for Bash, and one for Kit is the wrong confirmation. For a solid year there was only Bash threads, but everyone discussed Joe and Bash together on them. When the show first came out, there were HS threads, but people rarely posted on them and we instead shifted to individual threads for Joe and Kit.

When these current threads are paywalled, or deleted, can we try something new? Someone made a Locke & Connor thread a while ago for the Joe/Kit shippers, but it’s not very active. The next Bash thread could be named for both Joe and Bash, and then we could resurrect the HS threads for general HS news and cast updates.

We've had Joe threads for awhile without any problems. Kit threads have always been deleted. Making Joe threads basically Kit threads ends up getting Joe's threads deleted now, espeically with all the (fake) WWing, FFing and general fighting going on in them. The excuse he's Joe's costar so Kit must be discussed in Joe's thread remains fucking stupid. Not to mention doing an OP with a gif of Kit, the guy who keeps having all his threads deleted. Brilliant move guys.

Nobody is ever going to combine all the threads. Just like LPSG I guess the Bash threads remain safe with everything else turning to shit and getting deleted.

Maybe there's something I'm just not understanding, but it is a little weird that threads get deleted on a whim - especially when some people are paying to use the site.

Sometimes the site is randomly locked down to only paying users. Maybe that’s what you were experiencing. I’m not sure all the strategies they employ to boot out potential trolls, but limited usage during certain times of day is fairly common. And threads are randomly deleted for a variety of reasons. The site monitor is clearly not a Kit fan, so his threads are deleted all the time.

The Bash threads have always also included discussion about Joe and their relationship. Future threads could include both their names.

Don't think straight teenage girls are exactly going to understand him, but to be fair, Ben's pretty freaking awful in the comics and has zero redeeming qualities and no development. Espeically given how much he's supposedly fucked up Charlie. You kind of forget he existed. If they do have the scene with Ben attacking Charlie in the show I think it'll be obvious it's coming from a place of fear and self loathing and not because Ben's a cartoon villain.

Ben in the show is different from the comic and probably not the same person in solitaire. Since solitaire was the very first book alice wrote when she was young if they’re gonna include some scenes in heartstopper I think they might change it in some way.

I'd guess they are fine. I also figure this shit has been building up for awhile with Joe and Bash. Bash hasn't been on twitter in ages, since hstwt had a massive fit about Ben icons. But I doubt Joe just suddenly got mad about this one issue and those tweets and started blocking. Hopefully they know this isn't the majority of HS fans.

All Joe did was support his boyfriend. And him blocking accounts that have been nasty towards Bash for months is also justified. But the hate he's recieving right now on twitter is so not normal. Really hope someone from the cast speaks up cause this seems worse than what they were doing to Bash.

Bash hasn’t said or liked anything in defense of Joe so either PR got involved or they’re removing themselves from the situation until it dies down and the cast would be fanning the flames if they speak up and give it more life.

Eh, same shit. It barely trended for a minute on like #28 in the US. The usual suspects are pissed. The problem is the narrative they are trying to spread about how they all simply wanted clarification from Bash and Joe went insane and how he was invalidating SA victims and then

It’s the classic case of the vocal minority, isn’t it? Like yesterday - most HS fans on DL saw a load of bash hate tweets and yet when he tweeted about his magazine the comments asking him to explain the interview were in the minority and far less liked than the comments calling out the entitled fans. I will say the joe hate and bashing today is worse than it was for bash yesterday but again his IG followers have stayed stable so clearly the majority of show fans once again don’t give a fuck. I genuinely feel for the entire cast who is at oldest, what, 23? And mostly teens for being beholden to psychos with no reading comprehension. If any of the cast mentions insane pressure and stress to be woke perfect heroes leading to mental health issues in the future I will not be surprised.

It's not that many people. Though it has spread to a lot of bigger HS accounts since people are acting like they did nothing wrong towards Bash and then big meanie Joe blocked the sweet angel of a fan for daring to question and educate him when she has only ever defended him. It's all performative. None of them actually believe Joe and Bash are dismissing SA victims. Anyway, I feel this ongoing issue must have upset Bash in some way for Joe to finally go off on them. He couldn't tweet about it exactly, but prob wanted to do something.

Don't think it means a whole lot. Joe got dumped from the "big four" and now they only care about Kit, Yaz and Will. Have to see how long it lasts and if they start posting him again. The girl who got blocked is laying it on thick being a martyr and said she won't explain her side because she knows he'd get hate.

I genuinely worry about all these kids’ mental health. Child and teen actors are generally pretty open to hate and vulnerable to it which sucks but it must be especially bad in a fanbase that is so intensely PC that you can’t try to view your character as multifaceted (bash) or like a comment defending your boyfriend (Joe) without getting intense hate. One day on one of these super woke shows the fanbase Will drive some cast member to a suicide attempt honestly. I feel awful for them, and agree with r376 that bash must’ve been impacted by all this for Joe to react as he ignored a lot of shit talking re his own looks and re the JD thing for bash in the past.
