Reinhard Bonnke Biography
Reinhard Bonnke is a Pentecostal evangelist from Germany. He is known for his gospel missions in Africa since 1967. He has overseen 75 million recorded conversions to Christ.
Reinhard Bonnke Age
Bonnke is 79 years old as of 2019. He was born on 19th April 1940 in Königsberg, East Prussia, Germany.
Reinhard Bonnke Family – Father and Grandfather
Boonke comes from the family of Hermann Bonnke, also a pastor and ex-serviceman in the German Army and his wife. The Bonnke family has a history of getting associated with the church since the time of Reinhard’s grandfather, August Bonnke. Through his Facebook official page, Reinhard talks of how his grandfather was sick from a disease that the doctors could not diagnose. One day in 1992, an American missionary by the name Louis Graf happened to pass through where his grandfather lived and he asked if anyone in the village was sick. He was taken to August, to whom he prayed for and healed. After the sickly man could stand, walk, run, leap and shout, evangelism was born into the family. Bonnke’s father had become a pastor by the time Reinhard was born and after his father, Reinhard is also an evangelist.
Reinhard Bonnke Wife
Bonnke is a married man, to Anni Suelze. The couple met at a gospel music festival after Bonnke returned from the Bible College in Wales to his native Germany. He had been receiving speaking invitations and when he saw Suelze, he admired the grace with which she recovered from a wrongly pitched music performance at the expense of losing the competition. He soon fell in love with her and in 1964, they got married.
Their marriage resulted in the birth of three children: Kai-Uwe, Gabrielle, and Susie and years later, they have eight grandchildren.

Reinhard Bonnke Evangelism Missions
Bonnke had his spiritual rebirth when he was nine years old after his mother spoke with him about a sin that he had committed. A year later, he went to Africa for missionary work, an experience he says was of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. After his coming back from his missionary work, Boonke later attended The Bible College of Wales in Swansea. It was here that he declared his wish tobe a man of faith. After his graduation, he was a pastor in Germany for seven years before starting his ministry in Africa in 1967, principally identified as preaching in Lesotho.
In the beginning, he had poor results leading him to adopt large-scale evangelism, rather than the traditional small scale missionary approach. He began by renting a stadium in Gaborone, and preached without much cooperation from the local churches. His initial attendance was with 100 people and the meetings later began to grow. He founded the ‘Christ For All Nations’ (CfaN) mission organisation, in 1974. It was based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and in 1986 the headquarters relocated to Frankfurt, Germany. Now CfaN has 9 offices across 5 continents.
Since his mission began, he has held evangelical meetings across the continent. In November 2017 in Lagos, Nigeria, Bonnke’s ‘farewell gospel crusade’ was held for over 5 days with 1,700,000 people. He passed the baton of ministry to his successor, Daniel Kolenda, who is now CEO and President of CfaN. In 2019, Bonnke headlined the G12 Africa Conference in Pretoria, South Africa.

- “You have faith stories, too. No matter how small, remember them, recite them, count them, and celebrate them. They build your faith for what is coming next in your life.”
― Living a Life of Fire - “When you pull up roots in order to fulfill a divine destiny, there is not a sense of pain or loss. Rather, there is a great expectation for things to come.”
― Living a Life of Fire - “We do not first acquire the faith that we bring to Scripture. Scripture encourages faith. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).”
― Faith: The Link with God’s Power - “God the Deliverer The primary truth about God is that He is the Deliverer, the Emancipator, and the Savior. He is God only to the free. Faith is a venture that turns life into an adventure.”
